Once again visited wexford in search of spring migrants.
Successfully saw common,arctic and roseate terns.
12- purple sandpipers on carnsore beach was a good record.
Sedge warblers and grasshopper warblers were present on carnsore head.
1 wheatear at ladys island.
A drake garganey at tacumshin east end car park.
And 2 swifts, reed warblers and a whitethroat at tomhaggard.
no sign of any water pipits here this time.

Tacumshin co Wexford produced several water pipits in the tomhaggard area.These birds were incredibly elusive however and flew often, giving poor views.
Several jack snipe were seen in the area as well as a shorteared owl.
Migrants seen included willow warbler,chiff chaff, wheatear, fieldfare, blackcap, and whimbrel.

Began the day birding in wicklow.
Pulling in to killoughter we were treated to a single red legged partridge feeding on the road with 2 pheasants.
A jack snipe was present on the gravel pit pools at broadlough.
A singing chiffchaff was here also.
Kilcoole produced numerous sand martins and barn swallows.
Howth head had 3 wheatears present near the summit.
All good year ticks.
