Yesterday went to galway with Conor and Disco Rob.
When we arrived the weather was dire, drizzle and mist and was freezing.
But straight away a 2nd year laughing gull landed on the field beside nimmos pier and gave stunning views.
2 glaucous gulls, a 1st winter and a 3rd winter were off the slipway.
A 3rd glacous gull, another 3rd year was on the field along with a ring billed gull adult.
An adult iceland gull was present around mutton island.
A 2nd year glaucous gull was found and the laughing gull flew around our heads as disco fed it bread!Truly stunning views!
After a few hours the forsters tern, in gorgeous adult winter plumage came into roost on the rocks and gave stunning views!
Flying around the bay for some time after that and allowing us to get to grips with the flight pattern and gizz.
After a brief visit to waterside where there were 4 more ring billed gulls, we left for dublin.
And excellent day with 2 year ticks.
