TUESDAY 13th JULY . 2004

A phone call from local birder Matt Knot with news of a BROAD BILLED SANDPIPER had me heading for Bowling Green Marsh as quick as i could get there .
On arriving there i quickly got on to the bird , after a while i got good views of the bird but it didn`t show well for long periods as it was out of view behind all the other waders .
All of the waders then flew out to the Clyst Estuary so a quick walk down to the viewing platform soon had us looking at the bird out on the estuary with the Dunlins , as we stood looking at the B B SANDPIPER a ROSEATE TERN flew down the estuary right in front of us giving great views .
