I thought that these birds were Trumpeters the minute I saw them! They are not only unringed, but fully winged and are in pristine condition. Surely if they were escapes they would show some staining of plumage and feather wear! Also, from the literature, they are like Mute Swans - totally unafraid of man - what do you think? They are also worth a bob or two - why not pinion them or ring them if they're worth so much?
