THE SEA WATCHING BUG !!!

Today as there was very high southerly winds I went down to Dawlish Warren for another sea watch & as you know whenever you do this type of birding your expectations are always high as mine was today ! & as it turned out it wasn`t a bad sea watch with the following seen .
Numerous KITTIWAKE & GANNET , 6 LITTLE GULL , 20+ COMMON SCOTER
5 WIGEON , 4 GREY PHALAROPE ( with two in very close to the shore )
2 SOOTY SHEARWATER , a GREAT NORTHERN DIVER & a single FULMAR .
But the highlight of the day was a LITTLE AUK seen just off of the sea wall for around 15 minutes before flying off South , it was only the 4th one that I have seen & my first for Dawlish Warren .
Back home in Topsham in the afternoon there where 12 REDWING seen in the cemetery grounds .
