A look at Bowling Green Marsh in Topsham today got me a SPOONBILL that was first seen yesterday , a LITTLE EGRET , 50+ CURLEW , a COMMON SANDPIPER ,
a lone CHIFFCHAFF that was singing its head off , & numerous HOUSE MARTIN with a few SWALLOW & SAND MARTIN in with them .
Also seen was this RED-BILLED STARLING from China & the far east it is obviously an escape but still a smart bird to see .
This morning on my travels around Devon I was at at Drewsteignton & I saw numerous HOUSE MARTIN & a Weasel that dashed across the road in front of me & it was my first for a very long time .
This morning I had a DIPPER & a BLACKCAP at Holne Bridge on the edge of Dartmoor .
And in the evening I saw a RED KITE just slowly driffting across the A380 towards Lower Haldon & showing very well in the evening sunlight .
