Dead as a dodo

On Bowling Green Marsh this morning there were 8 LITTLE EGRET , 2 GREY HERON , 2 LITTLE GREBE & 20+ WHIMBREL .
Back home in my garden there were a few Butterfly with 2 Painted Lady , 2 Peacock , a Small Copper & this Jersey Tiger Moth .

Early this morning there were a few Butterfly in my garden including Comma , Peacock & lots of Gatekeeper , there was also this very obliging Banded Demoiselle .
Later on on I had a look at the Bowling Green Marsh but the birding was still rather slow but 30+ WHIMBREL & 17 GREENSHANK were something to look at at least , lets hope that it starts to pick up soon !

The birding down here in the South West has been rather slow of late ! & a look at Bowling Green Marsh in Topsham today only got me 3 LITTLE GREBE in Summer Plumage .
And Marbled White , Comma & Gatekeeper Butterfly .
I then had a look at the Clyst Estuary but could only see 4 LITTLE EGRET .

A mate of mine a couple of doors away has been putting out a moth trap for a while now & today he called me up to have a look at these moths that he had caught .
