This morning Brian Heasman & myself went down to Berry Head in South Devon to do a seawatch , we arrived in the dark & was greeted by a calling TAWNY OWL in the lower woods .
We then made our way down to the seawatching point in the Quarry & started our watch , we soon started to pick up numerous KITTIWAKE & GANNET going through & then we got our first BALEARIC SHEARWATER & at the end of our watch we had counted 102 of these birds a good count for here !
Also seen were single MANX SHEARWATER & SOOTY SHEARWATER , 2 ARCTIC SKUA an Adult & a Juvenile bird , & Brian had a GREAT SKUA but I missed this one .
Other birds seen were 2 PEREGRINE FALCON ( with one catching a pigeon right in front of us ) , 2 COMMON RAVEN , 2 CIRL BUNTING & a WHITETHROAT .
