Scaup

This morning is the first time that I have been birding in nearly a month as I have been layed up with a viral infection & I decided to go & look for the female Scaup that has been on the River Exe near the Sewage Works but there was no sign of it today but I did get good views of a Stoat that crossed over the path in front of me .
I then had a look around the Old Sludge Beds at Countess Wear & saw a flock of LONG-TAILED TIT with a GOLDCREST in with them , a GREAT SPOTTED WOODPECKER , 2 WATER RAIL & a RAVEN , the next area that I looked at was up around the Riverside Country Park at Countess Wear & would you beleave it as I was walking along the path to the viewing platforms I came across the Female SCAUP on the Exeter Canal & got these shots of it .
