For the scecond year in succession, we were delighted to find an Elegant Pitta at Tangkoko, a species which had not previously been recorded from mainland Sulawesi. Is deforestation on the islands making them change their habits? This would appear to be a non-breeding (imm?) of the subspecies elegans. Birdquest Website |
