Birdman,
It was great to run into you near the orange and almond orchards of Alcossebre last Friday and to hear about your bird observations. Thanks for sharing all the photos and info. I saw the herons and egrets again that afternoon near Cap i Corb.
Does anyone live at that place at the end of the road with all the birds?
What a fun life you have there!
Meredith

Hi Birdman
We keep hearing a bird singing it sounds from the description that it might be a Golden Oriole but we have never seen it despite all efforts. We live by the sea next to wide open country in Peniscola. Is this possible.

Hi Birdman,

I'm coming to Alcossebre on holiday in August - can you tell me where I need to go to see the Bee-eaters please?

Back in England. Dull, wet and NOT sunny. Missing Alcossebre but back in 3,628,800 seconds!- about six weeks! We have a wood pigeon nesting in a tree in the garden - not quite in the same league as the golden oriole at los Frutales!! Great site. See you soon. Best wishes to Zara and the dogs.

Visited Joy and Jeff who live at La Palmera and saw the Bee Eaters in the bank of the river opposite their complex.I was hoping to see the Hoopoe. We have a rare visitor a pair of Bee Eater here in England in Hereford nesting in the river bank. Which has drawn all the Twitchers.
