I have seen at least six Jersey Tiger Moths this year (July/August 2004) by the old railway track,East Budleigh Road, Budleigh Salterton, and one other in Totnes.

pLEASE HELP WE HAVE FOUND A VERY UNUSUAL MOTH IN EAST DEVON, WE HAVE ESTABLISHED THAT IT IS A MOTHBUT CANNOT IDENTIFY WHAT SORT, IT IS SHAPED LIKE A LEAVE, THE WING ARE JAGGED AND FACE UPWARDS, THE COLOUR IS REDDISH BROWN AND IT IS APPROX 3 CM LONG AND 1 CM HIGH,IT HAS BLACK LEGS
cAN YOU HELP US TO IDENTIFY IT PLEASE

Just seen my first Jersey Tiger> found it on the house wall -south facing - drying out after a downpour.

After lots of searching the internet, I have finally identified two Jersey Tiger moths that I have had in my garden. These were also on a south facing wall possibly drying out after some rain. This is in Exmouth, East Devon.

Sighted and photographed my first Jersy Tiger Moth in our garden in Dawlish today 15th August 2005. Beautiful creature.
