In 2006, new species seen in Mexico: Nava's Wren, Sumichrast's Wren, Mexican Sheartail, Flammulated Flycather, Red-breasted Chat, and White-naped Brush-Finch; (July, 2006) in the Carribean, St. Vincent Parrot, Whistling Warbler, Lesser Antillean Tanager, Grenada Flycatcher, Grenada Dove, Yellow-breasted Crake, Black-rumped Waxbill and Java Sparrow; and in Costa Rica (November): Coppery-headed Emerald, Magneta-throated Woodstar, Great Green Macaw, Black-throated Wren, Silvery-fronted Tapaculo, Zeledonia, Spotted Wood-Quail, Mangrove Hummingbird. In May, 2007, 23 new species from Oaxaca, Mexico, and 8 new species from Panama, including Slaty-backed Forest-Falcon, White-eared Conebill, Western Sirystes, Flammulated Attila and Bare-crowned Antbird; Bicknell's Thrush in 2008; Greater Sand Plover (Florida) in 2009. |
