Namibia 2008, two weeks' birding saw most of endemics (tho only 19 lifers), highlights being Hartlaub's Spurfowl, Rockrunner and White-tailed Shrike at Erongo. Tanzania 2008, working near Kilwa for three months, though only added 25-odd lifers. Kenya 2007: all Arabuko and Taita specials, Jackson's Franc, Olive Ibis and Abyssian Ground Thrush on Mt. Kenya in heavy rain, Kakamega, Bristle-crowned Starling, Hueglin's Wheatear and Abyssinian Roller at Narsalot. 2 trips to SA, one to Zim and Bots in '98 (Pel's, Brown Firefinch, White-backed Night Heron, Schalow's Turaco). |
