I'm still finding it difficult identifying this thrush. Is this really a blackbird? With a yellow beak and eye ring it is unlikely to be a female…surely.

I don't think it to be a British species unless it is a very unusual blackbird. The photos were taken at the London Wetlands Centre at Barnes on 13th March 2006. The bird was feeding with redwings, song thrushes and blackbirds.
