hi i hope you dont mind me contacting you. i walk a lot from essington to brewood (not everyday) yesterday i believe I may have seen 3 peregrines circling around the vine island bee lane area, have you or anyone else been aware of this?
i read your blog everyday (my hobby is finding and watching kingfishers).

I have a blog for the Essington area http://www.surfbirds.com/community-blogs/essington/ and we regularly have Peregrines around the pool and in the Wednesfield/Ashmore Park/Park Village/Old Fallings area. Although there haven’t been as many sitings in 2011 as in 2010, I’m pretty sure that the Peregrines bred again in 2011 so it is very likely you could have seen three over the Vine island.
On your hobby of Kingfishers, there was one at the Essington Quarry Pool last weekend!

Brilliant site used daily. Reached my 100 for 2012 at Belvide today with a Willow Warbler and Swallow. It goes without saying Steve that this would be much lower without your guidance and support. Many thanks.

Roughly how many birds were ringed to get that number returned? I note the one reed bunting some distance away.
