Always worth visiting on a sunny day to see which of the reptiles you can catch basking in the sun. This time the Sand Lizards were out in force and a couple of the males were colouring up nicely.
A warm sunny day with a refreshing westerly wind. Plenty to see around the cliffs and ledges at Durlston Country park. Basking adders Soaring Fulmars Swooping Peregrines
A nice warm Spring day and not too windy for a change. On the way back from Studland stopped to watch a Hen Harrier circling above the road. Possibly the same bird seen earlier being mobbed by a Buzzard at Middlebere.
A quick evening trip to Hatch Pond and after about five minutes of waiting the Bittern obliged by coming out and standing on a reed clump in the sun !
