More year ticks at last

With all this cold weather movement going on over the pond in the last couple of weeks, its been a little frustrating to have no sign of movement on the patch, until today that is. At long last, the long-awaited invasion of iceland gulls finally happened, with three turning up at Red Strand this morning.  Luckily they hung about long enough for me to scope them from Dirk Рlooked like 2nd winters but they were a wee bit distant!

Back at the lake, a grey wagtail on the shore whilst doing the I-Webs count was welcome, as I haven’t managed one of these yet. And finally, one or two flyover golden plovers calling this evening at dusk completed the hat-trick for the year (67).
