Magellanic Snipe Family

I went to Yorke Bay pond this afternoon for a look around, The White Tufted Grebe is sitting tight on her nest so I think she is on eggs.

I then came across a pair of Magellanic Snipe in the marshy area with a single chick that were amazingly confiding.

I left the Snipe family feeding and went to have a look around the ponds on Cape Pembroke and found a couple of Baird’s Sandpipers.
