c150 Barnacle Geese with Canada Geese grazing the lawns of the Ullswater Hotel [the Inn on the Lake]. Not necessarily a feral flock: the Solway isn’t too far away and they did look kind of wild. Year list 105

The afternoon was a much warmer, less strenuous affair: lunch at the Inn at Whitewell with log-fires and sunshine streaming through the windows followed by a drive through the Trough of Bowland on the way home
Today I visited a strange land of extinct volcanos and signposts which point in any direction except the right one
