There was about 50-60 Redwing feeding on a holly bush in the Topsham Cemetery this morning , later in the morning I went for a look for Brambling in the small copse at the top of Bowling Green Lane but I was out of luck with none seen , but there was a Nuthatch showing very well which is quite a rare bird around here !!! , On the Bowling Green Marsh there were 2 Greylag Goose , 300+ Brent Goose & the 1st winter Red-Breasted Goose & a look at the Clyst Estuary got me 30+ Avocet & a few Bar-Tailed Godwit

Yesterday evening I went out to Rewe to see the Fab Beatles in concert and on the way back home at a quarter to twelve a BarnOwl flew across the road in front of the car the first one that I have seen this year !!!

News of a Caspian Gull on the Otter Estuary got me off of my butt & making the trip there as fast as I could only to find when I got there that the bird had flown off down river !! & all that I saw on the estuary were 2 Little Grebe , an adult Mediterranean Gull & a Kingfisher , & around the Otter Head there was a nice male Black Redstart & a Raven .

A look at Maer Rocks in Exmouth got me a Purple Sandpiper a first for me on the Exe Estuary , not much else to report today only 200 + Brent Geese , 2 Redwing & 2 Fieldfare in Topsham .
