Yorkshire, mid December. Info?

Hi all.
Just before Christmas, with any luck, I will be heading up to North Yorkshire to stay a couple of days with relatives.
Unfortunately I will have very little transport, can anyone reccomend any sites within an hours drive from Malton that could be worth a visit at this time of year?

your best bet is scarbourgh and filey some great winter birding to be had there.

you could have a look round at flamborough head. the wooded valley at south landing may hold something, also check round by the lighthouse as well. hope you find something good
