I'm assuming Falklands - some sort of shorebird in winter plumage..let me pull out the books

Well, I'm not sure where it was taken, but it looks like a Hudsonian or Black-tailed Godwit to me - Hudsonian if I had to commit one way or the other.
(Watch it be a Silver Teal or something, now I've said that!)

I don't think so, but let's try a White-rumped Sandpiper...either that or maybe a Ruddy headed Goose perhaps?

Thank goodness for that Alan! Though, if it hadn't been the RC Dotterel I just didn't have a clue where else to go.
