I guess I'm the biggest fan of some of the videos, but I also really like this Black-chinned Mountain Tanager by DonD (http://surfbirds.com/video2/view_video.php?viewkey=e35a4a3f3cbd1e429b5d&page=1&viewtype=&category=mr)

I've found with this video and some others, you need to hit the little square button on the right of the video player to resize it correctly othewise it looks a little stretched. Anyway, beautiful bird. Also see there's an Upland Sand vid from Hungary too - first record. I'm hoping to see more UK rarities here.

Isn't that one a stunner? Too short for me at just 18 seconds, not a criticism, I just wanted more it's that good. :notworthy:

Hi there, I have been a Surfbirds member since the early days but have just got registered on the forum. I film British rare & scarce birds and hope to put some video in the relative section soon but have had a problem getting my computer to send large files. Hopefully, this has now been resolved.
Have enjoyed looking at your foootage Dave. I too filmed the Werrington Black-throated Thrush. What a beauty that was!

Roy, thanks for your comments, did you produce a couple of rarity videos a few years ago? We may have met at the Chew Booted Eagle?

Get uploading I don't want to monopolise the site.

Hi Dave,
I don't believe that we have met, or not knowingly.
I used to provide material in the 1990's for the old Birding Plus series of videos then, after taking early retirement in 2002, started producing my own videos & DVD's. I have done 5 now - one each year since 2002. The 2007 edition is due out in early January and I have included brief extracts of a few birds in the sequence that I hope will soon appear in the video section. One featured bird is the White-tailed Plover - I was well pleased to film that!
I use the Canon XL1S video camera plus Canon lense.
Do say hello if you spot me filming!

Roy.

Sorry, a case of mistaken identity. I know the name 'though. I contributed a few clips to Birding Plus too, Iberian Chiffchaff, Slender-billed Gull & a few others.

I enjoyed the Birding Plus days. Still see Alex Parker fairly regularly - their main cameraman.
