I actually hail from Pennine Lancashire, where, in days of yore I was involved in bird ringing...... and as part of this, the locating of, and subsequently ringing of 21 Twite broods, hence, (partly!), the name.... .

However, I have now been in Edinburgh for 15 years - not quite naturalised!

Don't do enough real birding nowadays, and sadly, miss out on too many new ticks as always, even though nominally there are less to get.

Thankfully though I can combine my hobby with work reasonably often; as an environmental consultant I often do bird surveys as part of my work.
