Hi John & Andy,
I really look forward to seeing them, John, especially as we've had them NOWHERE near our garden!
We've seen a fair deal of both Redwing and Fieldfare during the last week, but ALL down on ground feeding in local fields, none at all in trees after berries'. I still keep putting out apples in hope that one or two will come, but so far.......!

Same here Tim, but I'm having the same amount of luck in the garden with them as you....zilch! Keep a look out for Blackcaps eating them though as we always get them at this time of year. Best thing to do though is to cut one in half and secure both halves to a tree or bird table - both would give you more chance.
In the past few cold days the female Blackcap that is visiting us at present has even gone on to the Sunflower hearts (we keep a plastic plant pot holder secured to the underside of the feeders to lessen spillage) and discovered she loves them!
Good luck!
