Quiet forum so thought I would kick it off a little.

Photos of a Turkey Vulture in Canaries on ID Discussion Gallery (http://www.surfbirds.com/cgi-bin/gallery/display.cgi?gallery=gallery28). Photos of the Blyth's and Ross's on Euro Stop Press (http://www.surfbirds.com/cgi-bin/gallery/display.cgi?gallery=gallery11).

Why is the Turkey an escape? It's a long distance neotropical migrant.

I know there was some debate about the ID of this bird, but at first glance looks good for Turkey Vulture. Not an outlandish potential vagrant to Europe either.
