I'm new here and basically a back-yard birder, though I find my location here in Northwest Ohio is a pretty good place to watch birds. I have been watching a flock of great blue herons in the Maumee river the last few days, seems to be 15-20 of them. Interesting to see them in trees too. I understand this is not that unusual, but pretty spectacular for me. Bill Quinlan, Perrysburg, Ohio
