View Full Version : Red-necked Grebe?

Dear All,

I have just seen about eight of these beauties here in Colchester:

My guess is that they are young Red-necked Grebes but since apparently they are quite rare I would be grateful if you could confirm my identification.

Hi Joao, nice shot of a Little Grebe.

Doesn't help you in this example as these are summer plumaged birds but here's all the Uk grebes at a glance (http://www.surfbirder.com/cgi-bin/ukbirdid/readcsv.pl?type=grebes&where=gb).
