The shenanigans that are going on at Anfield at the moment are hardly surprising. Many rejoiced when Messers Gillette and Hicks bought the mighty reds. I was not one of them. My doubts about them were well founded. You see a few years back when a certain George W. Bush began to surface in the American political arena a wealthy Texan by the name of Tom Hicks became a good buddy of his. Alarm bells are ringing. He donated many a dollar to the Bush campaign and headed the Bush consortium that bought the American League Baseball team, the Texas Rangers. The Rangers were fairly successful at first but then ran into money problems and had to sell their star player, Alex Rodriguez, to the much hated (by everyone outside of the Big Apple, except at Old Trafford) New York Yankees. The Bronx Bombers are in cahoots with the Mancs, another good reason to support the Boston Red Sox. The money from the sale (a mere $252 million over 10 years) was meant to aid in rebuilding the Rangers. Surprisingly this didn't happen despite receiving star second base slugger Alfonso Soriano (sold a season later to the Chicago Cubs) and the Texas Rangers are basically ....e. Last season they sold their best player, Mark Teixiera to the Atlanta Braves, another rebuilding ploy no doubt. The fact that this ........ is in cahoots with Bush is enough reason to be worried that this texan clown is now the joint-owner of my beloved Liverpool but when I read and heard what is currently going on at Anfield it made me really worried! So what is the solution? A bunch of rag heads from Dubai apparently. Out of the frying pan and into the fire. We could either have Hicks, a Bush Croney or a bunch of Arabs, a bunch of Bush croneys! Shanks will be turning in his grave. I only wish I could be at the villa game tonight to voice my opinion. I hope you are enjoying spending your money David Moores you sold our club to a bunch of money swindling cowboys. This song was sent into the Liverpool fans website, Red and White Kop. Sing to the tune of the Beverly Hillbillies! It's fecking great!
Gonna tell you a story of a pair of Pricks they go by the name of Gillette and Hicks They tried to sack Rafa for a square headed Kraut so the kop want the two Yank phoneys out
Well the next thing you know these pricks are billionaires, All the Scousers scream " Let's get em outta here " They say "California is the place they oughta be" So they put em in a box..... tipped it in the Mersey.
To cool off, (quite literally as it is only 5 degrees celsius outside at the moment) I went out in the backyard to take some pics of our birds. Black-chinned Hummingbird - 1st winter male
Baltimore Oriole - 1st winter male

I am just happy that ....nal have fought off any attempts of foreign ownership so far.Lets hope for the sake of english football that they continue to do so but in all honesty money talks!!
If it does happen then i shall give up on Premier league football completely, although when it comes to attending games i did years ago and now watch the mighty AFC Hornchurch in the ryman premier league!

I think that those two Americans, Hicks and Gillette, are doing a great job at Anfield! And I hope you keep Rafa the Fat Waiter, and his rotation policy, too! All doing wonderfully well, keeping you below us ! Anyway, tonight is the BIG game... EVERTON v chelski.

I did want everton to win but seeing as tottenham are in the final now i desperatly want to see them lose as i think chelsea are capable of beating tottenham, don't think on evertons first half performance that they are! But if they do get to the final i will be rooting for Everton such is my hatred for tottenham!

well we failed... we have made tremendous progress under Moyes with relatively little money, buying from Div 2 (I still call it that) and using home-grown players, but when it really matters we just can't beat the "Big 3". Money and quality counts and Chelsea have that. They will see off Sours in the final, too... still, at least we have the UEFA and that important Prem 4th place to play for. And I can now get stuck into some birding as spring is on its way.
