Just thaught i would share a photo of my local patch as most people have never heared of the place, always has good numbers of finches wildfowl and in sumer large amounts of different wablers it als has a good head of water voles

and today had a pair of shoveler on the large lake

yes it is
theres a bigger lake too but the smaller lake looks nicer

I am sure this is the same place that I used to frequent back in the mid to late 90s. It was a Trout fishery then, and a very good one at that. It has a river running through it if I remember correctly. The larger lake of the 2 used to have a lot of Canadian pond weed in it. It was a most beutiful and peaceful place apart from the main road on one side of it, think it was the A303. Nice place for a local patch. Neil.
