Hi all, just found this site to help with an intriguing sight I photographed yesterday. (see under mystery photos, Painted Pidgeons?) I might have posted this in the wrong place because I really don´t know what I was looking at.
I rediscovered my love of birds after moving to Spain from Portsmouth 18 months ago. There´s some great things to see out here and have already added loads to my eye-spy birds list:laugh:

Hi Colin, funnily enough I don´t miss the rain & snow. In fact there´s very little I miss , except tea (how english!), then there´s anti social behaviour, taxes, poor service......... mmm. I´m loving it here, and I get to see Hoopoes, Bee Eaters, Egrets, Flamingo´s, Parrots to name but a few.
Hope you´re still enjoying the Algarve.

Sorry to break up the Iberia Mutual Appreciation Society, but I'm just as happy with Pink-footed and White-fronted Geese, Yellow-broweds in autumn and.....well that's it! :wink:
