Ended up staying around the brecks today (Was ganna go for the rough leg in norfork, but decided not to). Cracking day with some good birds. Started off at mayday farm, no goshawk but 3 crossbills which we had okay views of, also the best view's ive ever had of a lesser redpoll showing just above our heads in the sunlight and 2 singing brambling!!. Next stop was for lesser spot's, no luck. We pulled up in a small carpark and walked a little way and had great view's of a male goshawk and also a escaped white tailed hawk!!! Our final stop in the brecks was to lynford, 3 hawfinches showed well before dropping down out of site also marsh tit and siskin. All in all not a bad day!!
