NW Ohio changing visitors

Lately noticed different species showing up in the Maumee River. Today saw a large number of canvasback ducks and a couple coots. The flock of great blue herons remains here, saw 14 today. Last week saw a couple mergansers. We are still in winter, but things are changing. Having fun in my first year watching around here. Bill Q

Hi Bill, slowly change out here on the west coast too. The Yellow-rumps are getting some color, the leaves are getting some leaves. A few early summer migrants have appeared. In a few weeks time we'll be in the swing of it.
