Birding in Moldova

I was just browsing though the EBBC atlas and noticed that Moldova seemed pretty well covered regarding data so there must be some birders there. Can anyone help with gen on where to stay, places to bird and, I suppose I'll have to ask, safety.

As there seems to be little knowledge of Moldova ( I thought you bu**ers knew everything!) seems like I'll have to go there 'cold' next year. Let you all know what it's like!
