Birding the Azores

As an addition to Peter Alfrey's excellent article on the Azores last October on Surfbirds, another report with more photos has just been posted.

One of the photographs shows a Semi-palmated Sandpiper, a Baird's Sandpiper and a Semi-palmated Plover in the same shot. I wonder if I might have to change my plans for early October, from Shetland to the Azores....
