Greece in April

In early April I will be visiting the south western Peloponnese in Greece with my family, for two weeks. Can anyone give me any information as to good local birding sites? We will be hiring a car, and will have reasonably good transport. I am also staying 2 nights in Athens, so any additional information on that area would be appreciated.

If you travel from Athens to the Peloponnese by car you'll also pass Corinth isthmus, which is a good spot for Rock Sparrows. They're easily located by scanning the cliffs from the bridge. It has to be said that I saw them there in late April, but I don't think timing should be too much of an issue with a resident species like this.
