Picture
1 Material copydexed over a clothes drying frame which folds up enough to go in a car and be carried short distances.

2 Opened up.

3 Arrange in shape and have roof square ready, which is sown with a 4 inch dropped border all around .

4 Slot roof on ( tight fit to keep hide rigid)

5 Complete

6 Very light and can be moved around easily. Fold up around bottom allows for stones to be put in to keep down in a wind and extension legs can be put on for a stand up job. .

Hi John,
A really good and brillant idea, presumably there is room for a seat.
Can you say what size it is.

What method did you use to allow the metal rods on the clothes dryer to hinge or swing around ?
I had a job with that.

About 24 inches square. The height can be adjusted to the length of the material you use.You extend the frame by slipping half inch tube up the legs. You can have different lengths of tube.

Hi John,
Thanks for info, 24" seems small, just measured lens/body and thats 28", I think getting a tripod in as well, could be a bit of a problem.
Good idea all the same; you are indeed the son of Heath.

Well David you will buy these big long lenses ! With this hide you shouldn't need one ! I use the Sigma 50-500 OK plus a seat and tripod.
Cheers

That was quick John,
Is the tripod inside the hide or are some of the legs outside?
I guess I could use a 50mm then, if I can get that close.

im guessing that you carry yours around with you, i cant carry mine its to big otherwise i cant fit inside it,

although i do have another wich is a camo tarp and two hazel branches weaved up the front and all i then do is pull the spare material over the top, pics below

I thought all the clothes drying frames were a standard size.
Never seen any large ones. Mind you if mine was any bigger it would not be portable so it defeats the object. I have other self made pop ups which are very portable.
