Hi Mark
Thanks for the praise, check out the Gurney's Pitta I have just uploaded. Better than the last one which I have just dumped.

Hi, Andy the photos of Thailand birds brought back nice memories of a trip there for me a year ago. A couple questions. The Pheasant-tailed Jacana pic looks like it's in a decent marsh at Sam Roi Yod National Park. When I visited the park a year ago in mid April I saw no marsh except man made evaporation ponds. Was there a real marsh that I missed? Also, the directions to the Spoon-billed Sandpiper spot were very vague on Thaibirding.com and, not speaking Thai language, I failed to find the spot, which supposedly has a blue-roofed structure and Mr. Tii's Birding Center (whatever that is). Did you find Mr. Tii's easily?
Thanks, Jim McConnell

Hi, Actually I meant to ask Paul, the one who took the trip to Thailand. Sorry for my mistake.

Hi Jim and welcome to the forum. This recent trip report from John Raven (http://www.surfbirds.com/trip_report.php?id=1324) has a map for the Spoon-billeds (and the blue-roofed building). This page has all the Thailand trip reports (http://www.surfbirds.com/Trip%20Reports/thailand.php) in the Surfbirds archive including some other Spoon-billed Sandpiper directions. Best, Andy

Hi Jim
Kok Kham is the site where Mr T is based but that site rarely has the same numbers of Spoon billed Sands. Ban Pak Thale is the Place near Phetchaburi. See Nick Uptons website for good maps and details.

Nick also has reasonable maps for Khao sam Roi Yot. The good wetland areas are not on the coastal side of the park but along the Phet Kasem road and around Rong Jai marsh. Look at Nicks website.
New video upload of Spoony's going on the website in a few minutes.
