Helsinki in June 2008

I'm visiting Helsinki in early June. Can anyone give me informations in the best hotspots to birdwatch around Helsinki (10-20 km radius).

Hi Arade, there are quite a few trip reports out there but few that focus on local Helsinki spots. Hopefully, some locals can pick up on this thread. However, below I did find a couple of reports that mention some Helsinki spots and local contacts:

It would be great to get a list of good birding sites close to metropolitan areas around the world wouldn't it? Maybe it already exists but plenty of people have quick stop-overs for a night or two or have a conference or business meeting and have a few hours for local birding.

I have spent a considerable amount of time birding in Finland, Heres a link to a very popular nature reserve close to Helsinki city centre and is easily accessed by public transport.
