Bjorn Anderson has recently posted the first photos ever taken of Biet's Laughingthrush on the World Rarities. An amzing looking bird and great shots.

Cheers Brian
20 years since the last sighting!
Six territories were found in Muli County - a remote part of southwest Sichuan. Although heavily logged over the last 20 years with virtually all of the forest at its last known site gone, small pockets of unlogged forests remain. However, the species must be severely threatened due to its localised distribution and ongoing logging.
Here's the account from the excellent Threatened Birds of Asia https://www.globalconservation.info/rudy/view.php?id=167&stat=species
you have to log in first with your email and name but it's entirely free and well worth it.
