Wandered around my patch this morning, but nothing new, so I nipped down to Red Rocks to see if there was any sign of the Natterjacks yet. None of them either, but the place was "swarming" with teneral Blue-tailed Damselfly, plus 5 in "adult plumage". Lots of Holly Blue, Orange-tip and Speckled Wood in the area as well

After my first damselfly yesterday I thought I'd skive off work and see what else was about. Picked up more Blue-tailed as well as Common Blue, Azure and Large Red Damselfly plus Broad-bodied Chaser, my first Red Admiral since March and practically every garden seems to have Holly Blues in them.

I have had plenty of Azures in Norfolk but as yet no Blue -tailed or Variables.
I have three squares to survey for the BDS atlas so hope to find plenty more.
