The article on the European Roller is extremely interesting. I had thought that they were in terminal decline in France but discovered that they are thriving and in fact increasing with somewhere around 1000 pairs in Southern France. Previous estimations were much lower than this. Now I understand why we are getting overshoots into Switzerland, but not sure whether there is any serious increase here.
