I’m a sucker for any living thing in trouble, hence four rescued cats, although I don’t interfere with Mother Nature.
I was swimming in a pool when a moth landed on the surface of the water in imminent danger of drowning. I scooped it up in the palm of my hand and gently deposited it on a mat beside the pool to dry off in the sun. It made two further suicide attempts and then settled down to let its wings dry.
When it was able fly properly again it took off it the path of a sparrow that had been busy all afternoon helping his mate feed their chicks.

At least it gave you a cracking shot of a House Sparrow with lunch!

Thanks, Colin, I was pretty pleased with it myself!
