Can anyone name this gecko?

We call it Fred Astaire as he dances on our bedroom ceiling. He also demolished a spider for breakfast just before I took the pic [I never have a camera handy when I most want it] and you can just see the remains of the web on his legs.

Do you live near water??

It is the Tropical House Gecko (Hemidactylus mabouia) the commonest Gecko in the region and the most common species to find in houses.

Do you live near water??

I live about a kilometre from the River Nile but there is no other water in the vicinity.

Is this the same species as the markings are a little different? Photographed in Sharm El Sheikh on the outer wall of a hotel.
