Residents and visitors to southern Spain alike might be interested to learn that a new society - the Andalucia Bird Society - is to be launched this September. Details may be found at - :
(do not add www): http://abcandalusia.googlepages.com/
.... and there's a blog at
http://abcandalucia.blogspot.com/
I gather that the organisers are keen to hear of suggestions/ideas etc. I made one ..... and ended up promising to redraft the site's bird species list for the area. The one currently post is merely a 'holding action'! It'd be a great help in re-drafting the list if anyone has a Spanish bird list with names in the following order- English (and I mean English not American!), scientific name & Spanish name,
John
