While my dog was paddling in a nearby stream I spotted a juvenile Cedar Waxwing as it flew across the stream and only about 15 feet above my head. Being a novice bird spotter, the coloring had me a bit baffled at first until I realized that it was a juvenile.

Hi Quoddy, waxwings are great birds. Adults even better than the juveniles in smartness of plumage. They have it all, bold head pattern, crests, bright wing patterns and interesting calls.
