Good afternoon folks:

This is my first post on the forum.

My wife and I just had a new visitor in our backyard. At first, quick glance she thought it was a goldfinch, but realized it was much too large. I have looked at images of the Magnolia Warbler, Western Tanager (female) and the yellow-throated Vireo and none seem to match...although the Vireo is the closest I'd say. Anyone know what this might be?
Thank you for your help & God bless.

Hi Dan, very nice. It's a Baltimore Oriole -possibly a young male? Looking at photo on handheld so can't see too much detail but maybe someone else can weigh regarding ageing/sexing.

You know Andy, I was only thinking of the bright colored (male) Oriole when I was looking up possible matches. The female never crossed my mind. I checked a few other pics of the female and it looks pretty much right on.
Thanks for your help!
