Birds were reasonably close on a fairly overcast day at Malibu Lagoon and digiscoped with a Nikon Coolpix4500. Find attached Least Sandpiper, Spotted Sandpiper, Semipalmated Plover, Black-bellied Plover and Snowy Plover.

Ace shots. How long have you had the Kowa? What do you make of it in the field? Mine is ace, and brings a new dimension to my birding.

Excellent shots Andy - as far as digiscoping goes, it doesn't get any better than this. I can't believe these were done with a CP4500 (almost an antique now!); I always found that sharp focus was very much "hit and miss" with that camera and my Swaro ATS80HD.

Thanks for the comments. Yes, love the scope. Mind you anything would be better than what I had before but now everything is so crisp and bright.

I always remember looking through your scope at the Pied-billed Grebe at Kenfig, many years ago now (1987, I think) - a draw-tube Opticron or something. I believe we likened it to looking through a milk bottle - those were the days....
