Started a holiday in Cornwall this week and visited the harbour. What a fascinating place. The harbour looks as though it has been created by cutting through rocks (mainly slate). It consists of two harbours, inner and outer. The town itself is largely unspoilt with narrow streets, some still cobbled, old drainage system with grills made from iron, beaten into shape by blacksmiths. In a word, marvelous.
There are many birds about and I shall post some more on this thead. The first ready for posting is the Shag. A beautiful bird. The one depcted wa perched on rocks in the outer harbour. This is an uncropped image and yes, the bird was close and not at all bothered about being photographed.
